We at PBO just found out from faculty adviser Bob Paasch that the Oregon State SAE Baja team beat out 74 other schools to win the collegiate design series regional competition! Paasch says most of the teams were from the U.S. and Canada (including UCLA), but Oregon State beat out others from as far away as Korea and Dubai. Very cool. Teams were judged on the cost of their Baja design, marketing, as well as 5 racing categories: acceleration, hill climb, rock crawl, maneuverability and endurance. Pictures and video to come…
