Tomorrow, OSU is purple

It's "Wear Purple" day tomorrow at OSU OSU student Julia Callahan wanted to respond to the recent suicides by gay teenagers who had been abused and bullied in their homes and at their schools. She organized “Wear Purple” day for tomorrow, October 20. Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to wear purple, which represents spirit on the LGBTQ flag. MU President Craig Bidiman, who spearheaded OSU’s “Campaign for Understanding,” which also strives to show support to the LGBTQ community in the wake of the recent suicides, has organized a photo opp at 5 p.m. in the MU Quad for participants in purple. Be there!
