My daughter-in-law who lives in Philomath send me this and I'm very impressed. While in California where I live, is cutting back on academic outreach, you are increasing it. You must have some extremely forward thinking people at OU and I commend you all for your insight as well as your foresight.

Regarding the wave energy buoys, I hope smaller versions are made available to purchase. I’ve been contemplating building a self contained floating home and I believe this technology would be an ideal source of power.

I work for Oregon Sea Grant Extension and first wanted to say thank you for including us in your story on OSU's work in wave energy, our role often gets left out, so I sincerely appreciate the recognition. However, there is a slight error. It currently says "Oregon Sea Grant is also working with coastal communitis and the fishing industry to cooperatively site wave energy facilities, with the first scheduled for installtion this summer in Reedsport" In reading that sentence one assumes that Oregon Sea Grant helped site the Reedsport project and that it was collaborative. That is not correct. Oregon Sea Grant was not involved in the Reedsport site selection, nor was it collaborative. Quite the opposite actually. A better and still accurate sentence would be to just take out Reedsport, and put in Newport. OSU's testing center in Newport will open this summer too. Oregon Sea Grant was heavily involved in that one, and it was VERY collaborative. Thanks.

I think Intel sounds like a great place. I am sure your fellowship/grant will help you connect with possible employers. Good luck to you!
