Homecoming (and Halloween) at Oregon State is upon us! And Oregon State’s Alumni Association is planning a host of events that should be a blast. Some of the most popular are:
- The tug-o-war, the finals of which involve students trying to pull each other to the ground in front of a full crowd at Reser. Preliminaries begin Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Merrit Truax practice facility.
- The annual Homecoming bonfire that takes place Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Callahan parking lot…and the parade the next morning, 9:30 a.m. at the corner of Sixth and Madison.
- And new this year is the Student Alumni Association-sponsored attempt to break the world record for the “Thriller” dance, which will take place Friday at 6 p.m. in Reser Stadium. Which is going to be awesome. We’re trying to break the record of 1,500 people, which apparently was set by inmates in a prison in the Philippines.
Enjoy!
