Oregon State University has rolled out a series of new programs and services this fall to better match parking demand patterns, reduce vehicle congestion in the campus core and help reduce campus-related parking impacts in surrounding residential neighborhoods.
Zonal Parking System
The new system organizes parking by zones, with location and pricing options designed to better serve commuters’ parking needs while optimizing use of campus parking facilities. The system also encourages use of free Corvallis Transit and on-campus shuttle services, as well as carpooling with priority carpool parking spaces and discounted permits.
Expanded Shuttle Service
Oregon State has also launched an expanded on-campus shuttle system. The new Beaver Bus operates year-round and with extended hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The expanded service includes four bright orange buses to transport people from outer campus parking areas to and around campus on three routes, with service loops every five to 14 minutes. A free mobile app provides live shuttle tracking.
